The only requirement to join is that you must be at least 16 years of age. If you meet that requirement, we're so glad to have you join us! (And if you don't, we look forward to having you join in the future!)

To become a member of the Multi-Fandom Postcard Exchange, follow these steps:

1. Fill out the membership application.
   
   
2. Wait to receive an email from us that will grant you your fan number (a random number assigned to you that allows anonymity). You should receive this email within 48 hours.
   
   
3. After you have received your fan number, fill out your interest profile.
   
   
4. After filling out your interest profile, you will be added to the member directory within 7 days and will be able to begin sending and receiving postcards.

There are a few circumstances in which it may become necessary to freeze your membership. When your membership is frozen, the admin will not forward postcards to you or forward your sent postcards on to their recipients. This may happen if:

• You fail to submit an interest profile OR send out a postcard within a certain appropriate timeframe. (If you do not wish to receive postcards, you do not have to fill out an interest profile, but you must actually send postcards somewhat regularly.)
  
  
• You fail to register, within a certain appropriate timeframe, two consecutive postcards that have been sent to you.
  
  
• One of your postcards was found to have inappropriate content (content that is in contradiction of the recipient's likes and dislikes, is harassing , etc.).
